The government on Wednesday said China intruded twice into the Indian airspace last month when its helicopters were found flying over territories of Himachal Pradesh.

"There was an incident of air violation on March 16 when two Chinese helicopters were observed flying on Indian side of international border in Himachal Pradesh," Defence Minister AK Antony told Rajya Sabha in a written reply.

Another such incident took place on March 19, he said.

Antony said the incidents of transgression and intrusion were duly taken up with the Chinese side through established mechanism and diplomatic channels.

"Incidents of transgressions or intrusions are taken up with the Chinese side through established mechanisms such as hot lines, flag meetings, border personnel meetings and normal diplomatic channels," Antony said, adding that these mechanisms facilitate maintenance of peace.

In reply to a question on weapon import by India vis-a-vis China, the minister said India has become the largest weapon importer.

"As per report of Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) in March 2012, India has become the largest importer of arms during 2007-2011 and accounted for 10% of the global arms imports as compared to China s share of five per cent," he said

Why media is trying to be police ? This guy is begging money not robbing money & even if he makes 500 everyday so maximum 15000 Rs per month will that make him millionaire or just to support his poor family. What should these people do when there are no jobs. All we need to do is report concern authority instead of taking him to police ourself . Can you do this with zardari ?

Will quit politics if corruption evidence presented: Shahbaz Sharif

Countering Interior Minister Rehman Malik’s diatribe, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that he will leave politics for good if any evidence of corruption is given against his family.

Hinting at the interior minister, Sharif said that if the “IG of liars” gives any evidence which proves the involvement of him or the Sharif family in corruption cases, then he will not only “tender resignation from the responsibility of chief minister Punjab” but also leave politics.

Malik had claimed that the government was set to file a reference to the National Accountability Bureau against the Sharif family in various corruption cases, and had claimed that he had evidence that the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz leaders had siphoned off public funds worth $ 32 million.
